Registering

Find the screen shown below by clicking on Enter Registration Code. in the splash screen at startup time or by select the Register button under the Help | About menu.

Enter your Name and Registration number exactly as it was supplied. Click OK and confirm.

 

 

Operation as a Windows Service

With EZ-Backup installed as a Windows Service the program will run and automatically backup files according to a schedule, no user needs to be logged on. When a user logs on the program will display the EZ-Backup logo in the System Tray. Right clicking on this icon will display a menu with three choices.

Selecting Open will open the main program window.

Selecting Backup Now will run the configured backup job.

Selecting Exit will close the interface program and remove the icon from the system tray. Subsequent logging in will re-launch the interface program and display the icon. The interface program can be launched manually from the EZ-Backup entry in the Start menu.

The service and interface program can be removed from the Add / Remove Programs Manager in the Control Panel. Advanced users can stop the Windows Service from the Services Manager in the Control Panel.

 

 

Operation as a Stand Alone Program

Select the EZ-Backup entry in the Start menu. The program will show the main program window.

 

 

Configuring the Schedule

Select the View Schedules... under the Settings Menu, choose your schedule and click OK.

 

Schedules is only available in registered copies and when running as a windows service.

 

Selecting Settings Options

Select options to Zip the backup file, Include all Subdirectories, and Overwright Existing backup file.

Any or all of these settings may be selected.
